What was that? Rub? Yes. A Rub. Simple word isn’t it? Ever thought of giving your fresh chicken a rub? A homemade rub is a simple way to flavor it up before you bake, roast or grill a tasty Four Corners Farm chicken! Enjoy a couple of our favorite recipes for homemade rubs below… and look for them soon in our Farm Store available for purchase!
The below recipes are from Shannon Hayes cookbook, The Grassfed Gourmet. We love this cookbook and highly recommend it! All you need to do, is combine all the ingredients for whichever rub of your liking. Mix thoroughly and store in an airtight container… we use canning jars. When you’re ready to use your homemade rub, simply rub it onto the meat and let sit refrigerated for at least an hour or even overnight then cook however you’d like!
