Many of you know that we’ve been fighting the proposed pipeline for a long time now. On Monday of this week, we were in court for 2 + hours trying to defend our right to private property in order to keep surveying activities from happening. You can read more about it in the Roanoke TImes article HERE and watch the Channel 10 interview HERE. Basically, we lost and a large crew of unidentified surveyors will be entering our property next Wednesday, September 20th, Thursday, September 21st and Friday, September 23rd.
Apparently, MVP doesn’t like that we’ve been so open and invitational to our fellow pipeline fighters. We created an online form to gather interest from those who wish to help stand with us and defend our right to land & water. The launched Water Protector Interest form went live in August as a way to gauge interest from our friends and farm supporters, but also because we have strived to be open and up front about this entire experience. It has been, and continues to be, a family effort. We press onward in our efforts to take a stand for the land and are so grateful for the support and encouragement that people continue to give.
If you’re interested in learning more about “no pipeline” related tours, events and activities we may plan on the farm, please fill out the Water Protector Form. We will contact you with further details and information.
